The public latin school is in very close to the Longwood Medical Area (that is the name of the area I stay in, go to classes in, and in which the hospitals exist). The Public Latin School is not original to this site but was actually the very first Public School in the United States and remains open today to the public. Students have to take an entrance exam in the sixth grade to try to get into the school as it is very rigorous and demanding. Despite it's exclusiveness, there is no financial cost associated with the school.
